beginning kits
 

Are there any wed sites tha have lots of easy to fly and build kits. I have flown a bit and want to make a kit thats easy for a beginner to build.

first off.......welcome to the evil side of the addiction.......er hobby rather.

second you need to consider (or state in detail a bit more) what are you wanting to do, depending on your skill.

electric, nitro, control line, free flight, rubber band powered............???

what skill level are you at? beginner? soloed? still on trainer cord?

what type plane are you looking at? basic trainer? advanced trainer? sport? scale? pylon? pattern? aerobatic?

think about these questions first..........

most any of your major hobby suppliers can get you into kits. www.sigmfg.com www.towerhobbies.com www.horizonhobby.com are to name a few.

If you can afford to waste the cost of one kit, buy 2 of whatever you want, don't be concerned about inexperience in building. Build one and fly it. Then build the other and use what you learned from building the first one.

I did this and learned 2 things:

1) I suck at building and would rather write a check.

2) I will never have to worry about building a kit again, because God invented China.

I will be building more kits, but not for a , (2 yr old and baby on the way),and then they will be Cardens or Daltons....and I will have experienced help.

sig somthing extra, simple to build, easy to read instructions, cool looking, good flyer.
check www. towerhobbies.com they have allot of kits .
the top of the beginners threads has a stickey available trainers there is a few second planes also quite allot some might be available in kit form still.
finding that I am a builder that loves to fly if you want to just fly buy ARF's there is still a little consruction involved less room for mistakes.

I've been flying and building now for nearly two years. I'm more of a PnP and ARF man. If I ever decided to build a kit it would be most likely be a Skyshark kit. Sure it's more high priced than some, however... I was told that the Skyshark directions are real good and everything is labeled nicely.
