Praise to the Community Here!

I would like to thank everyone here. As you can tell from my post count, I havne't been here long but all of my questions, no matter how stupid, have been answered here. Its incredible how many people are here willing to give honest advice and opinions.

With everyone's help. I have successfully finished my tower trainer. I have adjusted all the control surfaces and the throttle and trimmed everything out. The plane is balanced and tomorrow (if its not raining) im gonna break in the engine and taxi it. I am not going to attempt flight until I am with the AMA instructor this weekend.

Thanks again!

Zephirus79,

If you taxi with the wing on, make sure to keep that throttle pulled back - don't let the speed build up. Some planes don't require much speed to get airborne, and I've seen more than one pilot practice taxiing a plane that inadvertently ended up taking flight.

Thanks for the tip, I probably will do it with the wing on, just so I can know how far I can go without tipping the plane onto a wing. I wont go fast, trust me on that, Im excited to get airborne, but not the wrong way.

Zephirus79,
So glad to hear you are using an RC Instructor. That's how I started. You learn it the right way to begin with...no bad habits, and probably some good ground school and safety instruction to boot.
Just like the guys said...these high wing trainers can take off in 3 to 6 feet of runway...amazing...so taxi very s-l-o-w-l-y!!!
Good luck, welcome to the addiction and great flying!!!:)
Bev
