MinnFlyer.. could you do up three solo certs for three of our club members? One of them is 9 years old!!!

Thanks for the certs. I was not sure if I should request them from Minn or from you, but obviously, the request got to the right place.

We have had a big run on new people wanting to learn RC. This is a good thing!! The age range is 9 (as you see above) to one gent that is almost 70. All learning and enjoying the hobby. Chris and Steve have been in RC for a while, both racing RC cars and trucks. So, they had a pretty good heads-up on the use of the radio equipment, and the difference between right and left turns.. ha.. tough for newbe's to understand that. Anyway, they both solo'ed pretty quick. As for Josh, well, I watched him on a couple flights, he was being taught by his Grand-pa. His Grand-pa asked me if I could witness his grandson's solo attempt, so I took a look. Examined his airplane as I would anybody else, then told him what I expected him to do. This kid was serious. He just looked at me and said, "Yes sir", then proceeded to fly as I expected he should. Nice kid. I imagine he will probably be FAI Pattern before he is 12!!! haha..

Ok, well, thanks again for the cert's. I will take them, print them out and pass them out at our 6 December meeting.

You can ask either Minn or myself for them (also Bubbagates can crank them out if he comes on and see the request). We're all more than happy to help you out with them.

I have a solo certificate that I made up for pilots that train at our field. You can see a what it looks like below. If you can send me a copy of your club's logo and your club's name I would be more than happy make up a certificate that is customized for you club. Let me know
