Eagle II HELP

Hello All. I was recently given an Eagle II trainer for free!! It has a Super Tigre engine installed and is brand new i guess a buddy of mine's neighbor was going to learn on it but ended up having to move to canada!! So he put it out in the trash!! Luckily my friend saw it and snatched it for me!! So i have this pre covered airplane but no instructions on how to finish it but I do have the box with the rest of the parts push rods ect. I really wanna finish it but am very confused as how to install the push rods and radio equipment correctly. Also id like to convert it to a tail dragger because the feild
near my house is grass and I was told a tail dragger would perform much better any input on this situation would be excellent I really wanna get her flyin!!! THANX

If you are talking about a Goldberg Eagle II, you can dowload the manual at: http://www.carlgoldbergproducts.com/eagle2.htm

Unless you are flying off of very tall grass it will do just fine as a tricycle geared plane. Best of luck learning.

Yes, taildraggers do slightly better in rough grass in my experience. However, I would recommend you stay with the nosewheel for now... it should be fine and the Eagle 2 is a fine trainer without modification.

I agree with JP. Tail draggers add an extra learning curve on a flat field and if the field is rough and yo are learning then a tail dragger probably won't help you. [8D]

rappy - Please also be sure to get proper instruction in flying your new plane. You didn't say if you were planning on joining a club or not so I'm mentioning it. Many good clubs in Florida can be found at: http://www.modelaircraft.org/clubsearch.aspx
A good instructor can help you plane last a lot longer.
