plane identification?

can anyone identify this plane?

this is all i know about it. "its a red trainer with a 56 inch wingspan and about 42 inches long". i know that's not a whole lot but maybe one of you may have flown one of these bad boyz:)

i recently won it on ebay, its supports a dwarfed os.25:eek:

You're lucky. I always have to pay for what I get off ebay. :D

Don't think of it as winning. Think of it as agreeing to pay more for something than anyone else in the world that knew of it would. :)

Nice plane. Very much popular back a few years. That was the recommended second plane back when I was in High School. ;)

If it's a Falcon it must be an early one. The MK-II had a buil-up stab and the one in the pic has just a flat sheet. Vert fin and rudder are also different than MK-II.

this is a Sterling FLEDGLING . the tail is flat. the Falcon has a built up airfoiled stab. the wing is bolt on , the Falcon has rubber banded wing.. airfoil is nearly flat with phillips entry. Falcon has semi symetric airfoil. good flyer but the .25 is really too small.esp. a LA motor.take off on grass marginal.
