Charger Advice

Hi Folks,

As a newly soloed pilot, I'm wanting to expand my field box goodies and pick up a charger.

My budget is $100.00 or less....I've been considering the:

Triton Junior or
Hobbico Quick Field DC Charger MK II

Which one of these would serve me best for topping off RX/TX batteries and charging an occasional NiCD for use on my Slow Stik? I haven't ventured off into lipos yet so this is not a pressing need for me....yet.

Thanks!

RE: Charger Advice

Most guys at our field have the hobbico. I just purchased a hobbico a couple of weeks ago and I am charging my first battery. Seems to work great. I like the fact that you can charge all 3 types of batteries and two at the sane time. I'm not all that acquainted with triton.

RE: Charger Advice

Hey, if you can spare the extra 50 bucks, get a Hobbico Accucycle Elite. I charge everything from foamies to giant scale, and it is so easy to use. I have almost lost an airplane or two to batteries not charging on the wall wart, so the Accucycle has paid for itself. It also gives you piece of mind that your batts are actually charging. All of the people I have taught to fly I recommend this charger to. Sure its a little pricey, but if it saves one plane, it was worth it. Just my $0.02.
