Battery Extension

Hi guys,

It's been long time since I've posted here, but I have a question for you all. Can I use a servo extension for a battery. If not, what can I use?

Thanks,
Sean

RE: Battery Extension

You bet, you can use a servo extension for your battery. Another route you can use if you feel comfortable with a soldering iron is to make your own extension, but only if you are sure you can make good solder connections. Otherwise just use the servo extension.

Hope this helps

Ken

Thanks a lot Ken. That's what I wanted to hear. Off to the LHS!

Thanks,

Be sure to use large enough wire for the extensions. Since all the current for the servos and receiver flow though this single pair, voltage drop can be significant (cause glitching), especially if using digital servos.

Also make sure that you get the wire colors correct. Black to black, red to red. It is easy to get them mixed up with the universal extensions out there. Good Luck, Dave

G'day Mate,
And remember to tie the leads together, with dental floss or heat shrink tube, we don't want that one to come apart.
