Thin CA and Styrofoam Lining
Ouch. I dripped some CA on the styrofoam lining on the inside of my T-34 fuse. Destroyed it. What can I do now?
Thanks |
RE: Thin CA and Styrofoam Lining
Hi Gary,
Just cut out the damaged area and glue in a new pice of foam w/ gorilla glue. Use a pice of foam from any foam packing you may have around. Darren |

And buy foam safe CA next time.

No, just fill the area with some of that super-light spackling compound. It works great for repairing foam.

gary,
The spackle works great. Have used it for years. And get foam-safe CA. Ken Erickson San Antonio, TX |

RE: Thin CA and Styrofoam Lining
I have repaired some VERY large foam areas with this stuff and it worked out great. Mind you, I do NOT like to use it as wood filler - I tried it for that when it first hit the market and I didn't like the results. But then one day I needed to do a repair to foam and I thought it might be just the thing to use. It worked GREAT! And I've been using it to repair foam ever since.
