How close to the plane is the transmitter? Does it only do this when the transmitter is near the plane, or does it do it no matter how far away it is?

What kind of plane is it? did you get it as a RTF? have you crashed the plane any? i found the crystals/receiver on my RTF planes to be rather weak, i don't want to say the electronics that came with my Begin Air/J3 Cub are junk but i found them to be very glitchy after a few rough landings/crashes.

I replaced the receiver, crystal and radio on my Parkflyers Begin-Air and it took care of the problem, in fact... the plane responded much better.

Worth a shot. :D

It may "glitch" with a completely charged battery. Let it sit for about 5 minutes with everything on and see if it settles down.

Turn the transmitter on first, then the receiver. If you're turning on the plane with no transmitter signal it is probably picking up your neighbor's garage door opener motor or vacuum cleaner. No matter what frequency you are on there is always background "noise". You just always want to be the strongest signal present on your receiver's frequency.

if the transmitter is extremely close to the reciever the reciever can be swamped by the output power of the transmitter and it can twitch. about 1 pace away should be enough to stop the twitching if this is the case.

Thanks for all the replys on my glitches problem. My plane is a Balsa usa stick 40 it has a late model Futaba radio.I have tried all the above and it still glitches. I am going to swap radios with another plane and see if this helps thanks, Larry

Hey,

Not that I have had any experience with planes, but with my RC car, it used to glitch, but as soon as I turned the engine on, and ran it away from the controller a little bit. it would stop glitching. As the other guys have said, the more "noise" on that frequency, the more that the receiver is going to make the servos glitch, but if your controller is the major 'noise' at that frequency, then it shouldn't glitch.

Cheers
