Evolution .46 problems

Hey guys, i notice when i prime my engine and take my finger off the carb the fuel runs back down the fuel line. Is this normal?

Also, what glow plug is everyone running on the Evo .46?

Not good....check for a leak in the fuel line or tank stopper - it might be sucking air.

Yes, this is normal in most cases.
The carb is a lot higher than the tank.
Is the engine hard to start?
You can also put your finger over the exhaust while the engine is being started.
This will force fuel to the carb.

I use Hangar 9 3006. Part number: HAN3006. Excellent results.

Druff1,

I use an OS #8 in my Evolution .46 and it works fine.

I run the Evolution .46 both upright and inverted.

As posted it does run back... but if you have the engine properly tuned, at slightly above idle it should run back SLOWLY.

Try setting the throttle to idle and see how fast the fuel runs back into the tank.

If it takes 10 seconds or more, this sounds about right.

If it is relatively quick at idle, something is amiss.

( Or you have your needles set far too open... )

my p51 evo 46 didn't want to start, I dropped it off at the hobby shop, the glow plug was bad and he tuned it, starts and runs like a champ again! You might want to have a pro tune it for ya.

I am having problems tuning my .46 evolution it is brand new. I have it on a bench test. I had it started and put full power and then started making a popping sound. I started it again and continued to make that sound can anyone help me?
