leaking muffler

Hey guys,Was wondering if you could use 30 min. epoxy to seal a muffler where it goes together to keep fuel from leaking from it. Would it stand up to the heat?

Not sure about the epoxy, but I've used JB Weld before.

Clean all the fuel and oil off - then you can use high temp rtv silicone sealant.

you can get some Ultra Copper by Forma Gasket at an Auto parts store and thoroughly clean the joint with alcohol, put a thin coating of the UC on each surface and let it air dry a few minutes, then assemble and sit overnight.

I got this information from an extremely good authority on R/C Motors.
