Covering tools?

Hey guys, one quick question. Are tower hobby brand heat gun and iron just as good as Top Flite (and yes i know they are owned by same people), Black Baron, Hangar 9?

I have used Tower Hobbies irons and heat guns with no problems. I still have the iron however it does not get much use as I have found an iron that has a 10 ft cord on it which is so much nicer when covering. I use Top Flite trim tools as I like the shoes better than the other brands. Good Luck, Dave

Sounds like mine. I have this one and it has a 12' cord

I've got a old Royal that has a long cord. Wood handled and I think probably the co was absorbed by the Hobbico/Top Flite group as it looks identical. Ny newer iron is a Coverite/Black Baron and I've got a couple Top Flite trim irons. All work well.

Thanks for the input. I was thinking of getting the combo that Tower offers for their heat gun and iron for $23. money is an issue right now but i am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for"
