Which plane shall I get?

Well, i'm new to planes, and i'm totally blank minded of which plane I should get. As many of you guys may have played with planes for years, I'm need some help on which plane shall I get first, remembering I'm a beginner and new to this rc catergory. :D However, I would want it:-
- A small scale plane.
- Cheap.
- Can be upgraded and replaced with systems and parts.

If possible, can anyone give me some suggestions and examples (links), of my wanted plane?

1] "Scale" plane is not what you need. You need a "Trainer". Maybe you are not aware but "Scale" and "Trainer" are two entirely different categories.

2] How cheap is cheap? What is your expense limit? Keep in mind you will need a motor, radio system, and all the misc. accessories.

3] I don't know of any trainers that can be upgraded. Maybe others will know of some.

4] My personal favorites are the Sig Kadet airplanes such as the Seniorita, Senior, LT-40, LT-25, Kadet Mark II.

The most smokin' hot deal on a great beginners' plane right now is the Thunder Tiger Pegasus Super Combo through eHobbies.com:

http://www.ehobbies.com/ttr4556-f12.html

$219.99 gets you a beautiful sport trainer with a 70" wingspan almost completely pre-built and ready to fly. It comes with a high quality 4-channel Hitec radio system pre-installed and a Thunder Tiger GP-42 2-stroke glow engine with glow plug, propeller, and spinner installed as well.

http://www.rchobby.co.uk/PEGASUS-2-350.gif

The engine is reasonably powerful and easy to tune. It would fly a wide range of sport planes very well. The radio system is a hobby quality 72Mhz system with standard servos. The Pegasus .40 airframe flies nicely and has a semi-symmetrical wing so it can fly inverted and do aerobatics more easily than most flat-bottomed trainers.

With the deal that eHobbies.com has on these, it's like buying the airframe and radio at a discount, and then getting the assembly and the engine for free!

Sorry, not to mention. Just to make sure you know, i want a RTF kit and electric. I have looked at the nitroplanes site and there are some really cheap planes. But are they worth it to get?? What I mean, is that if I got a Micro flyer and bought it for about $20... Few months later it is already broken and really unreliable. Or shall I go for something a bit more pricey, reliable, durable, etc. and then later on it is a bit more worth it? [:-]

If you want electric, try the wing dragon:

Going "too inexpensive" usually results in a liight weight weight underpowered plane that should only be flown in the slightest of breezes. There are high performance electrics out there but you would have to be "very experienced" to stand a chance of flying it for more than a few seconds![8D]

What you want doesnt exist....if you got a couple of months of fun out of $20 then you got a deal and the Aero Ace(I have one) is front yard fun! there arent any upgrades to planes other than some offer optional flat wing for more aerobatics...go to the parkflyere section, your best bet is either Parkzone or GWS I would recommend GWS but only because they're the only electrics I have worked with...Rog

Parkzone cub is also a great choice. Not too hard to learn, and is a lot of fun!

(Aero ace is good too though!)
