This is my storage solution. Unfortunately this is about as big as I can get with ½” PVC. I’ll probably use ¾” or 1” PVC on the next one.

Lowes and Home Depot sell racks for overhead storage. They have a "T" on top and a bottom rack going in both directions with a bent over hook on each end. I have extended the bottom rack using dowels in order to hang them on the wing and balance them. These work just fine. If you don't want to spend that amount of funds for them, look them over and then you can build some like them using pvc of an appropriate size.

I have 2, 1" strips of wood that are about 6 feet tall each with holes drilled into them about every 6 inches. I then have 4 dowel rods cut down to about 10" long covered in pipe insulation (black foam). They can be adjusted to any height and theres room for at least 4 fuselages and 4 wings and they store right on the wall, nothing obtrusive. All materials purchased from a Home Depot, cost was less than $25.

I have a few wing racks as described above and a couple ladder racks from home depot that are screwed to the wall.
The wing racks are simple to make from 3/4" dowel, 3/4 pipe insulation and some 1x2 pine or poplar. I prefer poplar because it drills nicely and is more durable.
About the only special tool your need is a 3/4" spade or forstner bit.. I prefer forstners for the clean flat bottom holes they make.
Everything else can be done with hobby tools. I cut my last 2 sets with a Zona razor saw and miter box. I was to lazy to haul out the table saw :)

I'll take some pictures tonight

The ladder racks work great for fuselage storage. The are about $5 at Home Depot

I screwed a 2x4 to my garage wall and filled it with holes. Now I just stick two dowels in it and hang planes by their tail. I can even hang them completely assembled.

I have a vertical rack on the opposite wall made of 2x2s for wings
