Interference?
Hey. I'm new to the R/C plane world (of course, I'm in the beginners section) But anyway. I just purchased a Votrex Extreme plane about a week ago. It's RTF Plane made by Dragganfly Innovations. My question is When I have the battery hooked up to the plane and the remote on/off it doesn't matter the plane twitches sometimes. Sometimes the prop will spin for a good 2 seconds full speed then shut off, then the flaps will start moving up and down then there will not be ANY movement then it will start again. This does not seem right to me and I think it is a cause to the number of crashes I have been having. I'm not sure what remote I'm using. It has a 2-prong pin at the bottom of it that says 27.145MHz And has FMT with a 4 next to it. I will include a picture of it in hopes that it will help!
Thanks guys! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...0/P1010017.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...0/P1010018.jpg |
RE: Interference?
if any copntrol surfaces or motor are running when the tx is on and there is no movement of the sticks you have a problem.on the 27 band it could be cb or even another backyard flyer close by .

RE: Interference?
I'm not too sure what TX is, but this happens even when I have the remote off. How could I fix this problem?

RE: Interference?
Well... [:o]
With all due respect... start by going to the local field and talk to someone that knows the local hobby shops. Even go so far as to have then go with you to buy a system that is in the 72 Mhz band and a plane to go along with it. It would seem like you have bought a system from Toys R Us - give it to a local kid and move up into a higher standard of models. YES; you will pay more, BUT you will get more out of it. More fun, More reliability, fewer crashes, longer presence in the RC hobby and in the long run it will be much less expensive than the alternative. Sorry for being so blunt, but I have seen too many Newbees show up at the field with the wrong systems and try to make it work - starting with the proper tools makes it easier for everyone - especially YOU! ;) |
RE: Interference?
TX = transmitter

RE: Interference?
I found out what the problem was. :) Works GREAT now.

Care to tell us?

RE: Interference?
Sure. I'm not too sure all the correct terms, but I'll try. I looked inside of the body and noticed that the chip that all the wires connect to had come off and was laying on top of the crystal. I put it back in place and no more problems.
