Maiden.
HI gang,
I'm going for my maiden low wing flight this weekend, my first ever low wing flight. With this. before paint. http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f3...k/DSC00032.jpg And after paint job. http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f3...k/DSC00044.jpg I hope I don't turn the plane into kindling on my maiden. Any advice will be welcome. Paul |
RE: Maiden.
It looked better before you painted it. :) Maybe it's true that ugly planes fly better...Anyway good luck!

RE: Maiden.
Hmm, you seem to have painted it the same color as the UK sky. I hope you can see it! :D
Good luck! |
RE: Maiden.
Thanks warhwk,sort of.
Any advice will be received with thanks, I've only ever flown high wing trainers on my own 300 acre plot In the uk, I've never had the option of tuition from a buddy box,so this Is really my maiden low wing, and I'm bricking It ,just so nervous. Wish me luck . Paul. |
RE: Maiden.
wouldn't it fly better with a propeller?:D

RE: Maiden.
Hey MinnFlyer ,
I,ve painted the underneath yellow sunlight, so I can see the thing whilst I'm I the uk. It should show up In the black darkness of uk daylight. Paul. |
RE: Maiden.
I'm with Bruce. If it's gonna fly, where's the engine?;)

RE: Maiden.
I guess warhwk was right about ugly planes flying better,
my maiden flight with the spree sport went very well indeed. although It was a little to breezy to be out on a maiden and first time using ailerons. I soon got the hang of the ailerons and being able to balance the plane back to level flight was a total bonus as I'm only used to the "v"tail of the hobbyzone challenger, I didn't go doing any clever stunts ,just flying around In a large circle and staying level after the turns was difficult enough. Altogether I had six good flights and on the last flight I managed to make a couple of rather bouncy touch and goes, then the wind picked up a little so I called It a day and retired indoors. One quick question, I would like a little more flight time so I'm going to install the seperate Rx battery to run the servos but I think I need to disable the BEC on the ESC (a ripmax xtra 22, 5-10 cells brushed ) I've looked all over trying to get info on It but can't find anything. Any help Is most gratefully received, Thanks. Paul. |
