Dx7 receiver
 

Does anyone know if you can swap the Dx7 receiver from plane to plane? Seems like you should be able too but I cant figure it out. I can program all the settings ect. for one plane but when I switch models on the transmitter and swap out the receiver to another plane for setup it wont work. Or do I need to buy one receiver for each plane? Iam pretty new at this and its kinda frustrating. THANKS!

G'day Mate,
It's simple really, the GUID code that locks the RX to the TX, is different for each model memory in the TX, there are 20 of them, so the RX that is Binded, Bound, or whatever you call it, to model memory 2, won't work, with model memory 1, & so on.
All you need to do is bind the RX, to the TX, when you put it into the new plane, when you use a different model memory, in the TX.
So in short, if you use model memory no.1, that RX will only work with MM, No.1, so to get it to work with any other MM, you need to rebind it.

The guys that use different model memories with different mixes for the same plane also run into that problem. They have to re-bind the reciever when they change model memories.

It's a small price to pay for a safety feature that won't let you fly the plane if you accidently have the wrong model memory on your TX.

From what I've heard from DX7 users, It'll take longer to swap the rx from plane to plane, than it will to rebind.

once that receiver is binded, it won't work in another model.You have to buy a new receiver for each plane.

Sorry but you are 100% WRONG,
AR7000 RX's will work in any model,
There are 20 GUID codes, in a DX7 TX, one for each model memory.
When the model memory in the TX is changed the RX will need to be Binded again, for that model memory.

You plug this thingy into your battery charging jack and turn on your reciever.

A couple of LEDs on the reciever will flash rapidly.

You then then turn on the x-mitter while holding in a button on the back of the xmitter. The leds on the reciever stop flashing to indicate that the reciever has learned the new GUID code. This also saves the failsafe settings so make sure your controls are in the position you want them to be in for failsafe before doing this.

It's no big deal really.
