FEATHER SERVO GROMMETS
Where can I find rubber grommets and the inserts for Hitec HS-55 feather servos?
I have a set of six servos but none of them came with the accessories needed. Thank you. |

RE: FEATHER SERVO GROMMETS
Tigerdude as far as I know there are no grommets for the micro servos. all the installs I have seen are hard mounted. you could
however cut a small piece of fuel tubing and put it between the servo and mounting plate with the screw through it. |
RE: FEATHER SERVO GROMMETS
Ken's grommets MAY be for larger Hitec servos and not fit the Feathers. I have no absolute knowledge on this,

RE: FEATHER SERVO GROMMETS
My bad. Here's the correct info for that servo. [link]http://www.hitecrcd.com/servos/show?name=HS-55[/link] . It doesn't look like this servo needs a servo grommet. If you want to use something, a small piece of fuel tubing (or an O-ring) underneath the servo at the servo screw would go a long way to isolate it.

RE: FEATHER SERVO GROMMETS
So not necessary to have grommets for feathers?
That brings a question. With the feathers much smaller than even micros, wouldn't thay be more delicate? Meaning they would need grommets because of being so sensitive to vibrations? Please explain this if I am wrong :D |
RE: FEATHER SERVO GROMMETS
Normally smaller servos like this are used for park flyers, gliders, or for smaller electrics. In these cases the vibrations aren't a huge issue. Using this servo in a fuel powered plane could damage the servo, even it it has a grommet in it.
