I would like how to know to start a satio engine i tryed but it would not start. thanks

Let us know some more variables about what you are doing when you TRY and start it......

Umm ........Like are attaching a glow igniter?

Are you supplying fuel to the motor?......Are you sure?

Make sure the fuel lines are connect to the right places and it is getting fuel.........

Is the glow plug Bad?....Have you replaced it recently?

Have you tried a little fuel directly into the carborator.....then attaching the glow and tried?.....

Alot of variables here......please help us help you!

did ya prime it? open carb to full throttle, place finger over muffler to close it off then pull prop through 5 or 6 times or untill you see fuel come up in the line........john

Check you glow plug and fuel lines first, carb hooked up to the klink line of the tank? Ido not know the needle setting on that particular saito but is the needle set in the ballpark?
When you prime the Saito, MAKE SURE the the glow plug lead is not hooked up.
My Saito's like to start pretty wet, I open the throttle wide open put my finger over the muffler and rotate the prop counterclockwise 3-4 turns' you will see fuel drip out of the carb.
I then set it to about 1/8 throttle,hook up the glo lead, and give it a flip . It should start.
Do not set the needle for highest engine speed and leave it there.....you'll fry it. When you find the highest rev setting open it up(richen) till you can here the rpm drop a few hundred revs.
If you are new to this go by your local flying field and get some help....people in this hobby love to help others.
Thats a nice engine you have ,so do not be afraid to ask for help.

Mitch,

Is this a new engine? If so, be sure you break it in good.

One thing to watch out for, if you prime the engine (by holding fingers over muffler) always turn the prop a few times WITHOUT THE GLOW PLUG on, and make sure the engine is not hydro-locked.

You say you have tried to start the engine, what does the engine do? The most info you can give us the better.

Like John B suggested, if your new to the hobby, drop by and get some help. They can probably have it cranked and running good in no time.
