wing incedence
HI guys , this is a dumb question so I put it into the newbies area,
I have an old trainer and I know its been into a few crashes, so to say, I was checkin the incedence on it and the root incidense is way different than the outer . I know there is some wash out on a trainer but how much should there be and what would happen if I matched the incidence with the tip and the root , where talking 3 to 4 degrees difference and it seems to be negative or tip nown trailing edge up. I guess I dont think about it much anymore because everything I build now has "0" everywhere except for the motor mount that is usually a few degrees of thrust. Anyway someone wanna help me out with this one. I want to make it true again for flying so someone could learn on it. :) Thanks in advace guys. |
RE: wing incedence
That is not uncomon on a trainer. It keep the tips from stalling before the rest of the wing.
You can just leave it as is (Providing both tips are the same) |
RE: wing incedence
G'day Mate,
As Minflyer said, it's ok if both sides have the same amount, it's called washout. |
