Fly Boy 50 ?
Does anybody know anything about this model? I was lookin at FLY RC and came across it . http://thewingsmaker.com/airplane_de...php?code=GA014 |
RE: Fly Boy 50 ?
Very nice looking plane. Looks like a good stepping stone towards warbirds with the tappered yet eliptical wing... Much like a Spitfire or a P-40. However a 6 Lbs. it should be a fairly sporty pattern trainer. Sorry though I have no inside info on it for you. Probably another Chinese made ARF that you will have to reinforce all the joints on.
EDIT// To make this a warbird trainer simply fly it as is and as you get used to it add weight untill you get to 7 ish pounds and do not over power it. |
RE: Fly Boy 50 ?
Thanks Stang, I hav'nt got my LT40 in the air yet, so there's no hurry to get a 2nd plane,
but, you always got your eye open, ya know? |
RE: Fly Boy 50 ?
Another thing I notice is that the plane and the way the website is set up is strikingly familiar to Airborne Models who sells The World Models planes. I checked their site and they have nothing that could be the same plane. But you will notce the similarities.
http://www.airborne-models.com/index.asp Oh and take your time with the LT-40 and get everything you can out of it. |
RE: Fly Boy 50 ?
Further investigationtells me these are made by the same people. The World Models. Check these two planes out.
http://thewingsmaker.com/airplane_de...php?code=GA011 http://www.airborne-models.com/html/...p?ProductID=43 Now the World Models have been great planes for me. I have had three and liked them all. |
RE: Fly Boy 50 ?
