Engine Mount for YS 1.10
This Sig engine mount will fit perfect on the firewall and under the cowling, but it's rated for .19-.61.
Is there a risk in using it? It's as beefy as other mounts I have seen for the .91 size engines. http://www.sigmfg.com/cgi-bin/dpsmar...001.html?E+Sig |
RE: Engine Mount for YS 1.10
Gary,
To be totally honest with you I wouldn't use it. YS engines are real stump pullers. There's a good chance it'll tear a 60 size mount apart. To get a sense of security I would get a larger size mount. Ken |

Thanks Ken. The great planes large mount does not fit under my cowl.

RE: Engine Mount for YS 1.10
If you are going to use a YS110 I would highly recommend a Hyde or Budd engineering soft mount. These engines produce tons of power. Dont be fooled by the 110 displacement it runs more like Saito 150. You can purchase these mounts from Central Hobbies or Budd engineering.com

The Dave Brown 90FS--9004 fits the 90 and the 110 YS perfectly and because of the round firewall backplate and the uneven (non square) bolt pattern it will fit the tightest of situations. even the top part of the bridge can be cut away for making room for the airbox if needed for CG purposes and it still very durable but break when you want it to. i.e. during a crash.
