Slinger Help

I just strated flying about 6 weekd ago. In that time I've mastered the Super Cub and I'm down to wrecking my Stryker F-27B only about once every other week (though I blew it in about 5 pieces tonight). Any how I just set up a Slinger and took it out tonight. Unfortunately I never got it in the air. (Something I've never had problems with. Until now I've been flying ready to fly aircraft with their own radios. (Super Cub, Erobird 3 and the Stryker) I set this plane up on a Spektrum DX6 my first radio. I think I have everyting set up correctly on the radio and plane. The only thing I'm not certain is the battery. I'm using the same 7 cell HBZ 1013 Ni-MH 8.4V 1000mAh <110> that came with the other planes. The book recommends an 8-cell 1100 mAh battery. The planes seems to be getting no lift. Could this be the problem. Also any flying tips would be much appreciated. I'm learning this all on my own with no help. Thanks again.

RE: Slinger Help

the battery is the problem, swap it for the 8 cell and all will be fine,as to flying the slinger make sure you keep to recommended throws and you'll be fine.try a little reflex on the elevons (both set slightly up) as this will help no end.

RE: Slinger Help

Thanks. Went to the hobby store today and they said the same thing. Picked up an 8 cell but ran out of time today to fly it. It will go up next weekend, I'll post if all goes well. Also picked up a Miglet XPD-8 to build for future use. The plane looks like it might be fun.
