Horizontal Stabilizer
 

I bought a trainer and was out at the club flying it the other day. After a couple flights I noticed that the Horizontal stabilizer was loose and would move a bit side to side. A few people at the club told me to cut the monokote from the stabilizer where it goes into the fuse and then tighten the nuts back and apply some thin CA to it. Well I did that and after it was done I noticed the stabilizer was off centered by just a bit ( 1/8 to 3/16th"). Im just wondering if this is going to cause any problems while flying? Thanks for any help.

Well, ideally, it should be parallel to the wing. A little off in the horizontal will cause it to track slightly off, but won't cause many problems in a trainer, not that a new student will notice in particular, but an experienced pilot will notice some of the effects of the stab being off center or not parallel with the wings..

By looking at it, it looks like it is parallel to the wings it just off centered to the left side just by a bit. Looking at it with the naked eye it hard to see it being off either way. I was just able to tell once I put a ruler on it.

It will fly just fine. Don't worry about it. Just make sure it is secure and solidly mounted. You do not want that to fall off during flight.

it doest mean in trainner.but while flying model goes cont one side.
