easy charging question
 

I have a 1.2V Batt. with 4000 ma. it says to charge it at 400ma.for 14 hours, but is it ok to charge it at 125ma for 45 hpours or so. The battery is a N cell

Yes, that will work. You may get conflicting reports from others that say the battery will never achieve a full charge with this method. But I have tested it with several packs and can get a full charge using this slow charge method. At some extremely low charge rate, perhaps it is possible that the charge rate is less than the self-discharge rate and then the battery would never get charged. For example, if you charged this pack at 10 mA fo 400 hours it may never get there.

also a slow charge will allow the battery to discharge more and for longer than that of a quick/fast charge...
