Question about epoxy
I have some 30 minute epoxy and the part A has gotten too thick to get out of the bottle. The part B is fine.
Is this normal? I'd say it's about a year old. |
RE: Question about epoxy
Heat the thick part in a pan of hot water.

RE: Question about epoxy
I have set them in the microwave for 8 seconds and that makes them flow very nicely without affecting the strength.

RE: Question about epoxy
good advice from the guys here, but be careful when warming epoxies up....................if too hot and then mixed (especially in mixing cups), working time will be cut down.

RE: Question about epoxy
after you micro wave the epoxy just let it cool down and it will work great remember to remove the top on the bottle before cooking, real fast it doesn't take much

RE: Question about epoxy
If you heat them in the microwave use the lowest setting otherwise the plastic bottles might melt resulting in a sticky mess. Adjust the length of time in the oven carefully. Don't ask me how I know that.

RE: Question about epoxy
Epoxy has a shelf life. It is shortened by heat and sunlight UV.
Yours might be past it's best by date. |
