n00b question!

flying is flying. the problem becomes money. I don't know how many times I see guys that want to learn how to fly but are too afraid to crash their pride and joy. Don't bring anything out you can't afford to loose. With no anxiety about money, no pressure in learning. Just have fun.

My experience has been, larger is better. That means glow.

I would say glow as well simply because you'll find more people who know how it works. Electrics are good if you spend the money getting good equipment (motors, batteries, chargers) but unless you find a club with a lot of people using electrics successfully, then you'll be on your own trying to figure out what works.

Bigger is better. I recommend a .40 - .60 size trainer. I also recommend you build your trainer instead of getting an ARF.

aha so glow is better and a 60 inch span is also better thats 1.50 meters (thats how we say it in holland :P) and what is then a good starter plane with glow and 1.5 meter span ?

Are you building it or buying an ARF? I suggest a Sig LT 40 (kit).
