Engine Tune

Ok this is a dumb question but i havn't messed with my nexstar for awhile it has the .46 FXI on it, it was running kinda lean the last time i had her out, so i was wanting to tune it a lil richer,, but i can't seem to remember which way is richer clockwise or CCW..
I know this is a NEWB ? but i can't find my book either.

Also is it better to have it run richer or leaner ???

Thanks
Tim

CCW=out=richer
CW=in=leaner
Fire it up and go wide open,leaning it a little at a time until it gets peak RPM,then richen it about 1/8 to 1/4 turn.Hold the nose up and see if the rpm comes up,if it does,then your pretty good,if it revs and dies with the nose up,richen the mixture another1/8 turn or so.

Let 's see if I can help you remember. rightie tightie screwing the needle valve in..cuts off fuel or leans it. leftie loosey screws the needle valve out opening it up or richens it

Okay, so , what happens if you use your left hand on a "rightee tightee and right hand on a lefty loosey?":D Sounds like the old "BOO" method on the definition of a ceiling

Left and right are the same with either hand, but admitedly you have tho think more if your right handed and using your left hand.
