engine help for P40-E warhawk
I just got this p-40e warhawk from nitro and it says to use a saito 1.50 with a 16x8 prop. i have a supertiger was told it is a 2500 but not sure. the markings say " 2000 "

Depends on the age of that Tigre. Before INDY RC sold out and became a part of Horizon, they did market a bunch of ST 2500 with the 2000 stamped on the case. I think ST was just using up old 2000 cases in a bored-out engine. That happened right after the time GP took over the importation of ST and OS from World Engines.
Indy alluded to that point. I still have one NIB. The 2500 was a good performer in those days. The 3000 was a bit of a pain as the same carb was on all the engines 2000, 2500, and 3000. Not a good plan. Relates to how GP now markets the ST, all with one carb, 40-75, with a thinned spray-bar for the 60-75. Not a good plan. The 2500 should fly the model OK, however it will be a non-racer! Know whut ah mean, pard! No ZOOM take-offs. [X(] |

I have read a bunch about this plane but don't have first hand info you might want to ask this in the ARF forum or in the warbirds section there is a ton of knowledge there on this particular model

I was told to repost in warbirds I'm new to rc universe web link. AND NO SMART MOUTH ANSWERS DON'T ANSWER MY QUESTION if you don't have anything nice or constructive to say than why bother? I thought this was to help each other not to bad mouth. I think you need to take a zoloft !!!!!!!!

It's typically considered "rude" to keep posting the same question to multiple threads. It is frowned upon on almost any forum.
Since you are new to forums you may first want to familiarize yourself with what normal acceptable behaviour is, instead of committing ettiquette faux-pas. Your question has been repeatedly answered on the other threads, so cross posting serves you no purpose other than potentially hiding a good response from you. So far I see no one bad-mouthing, with the possible exception of your own post. |
