For my first airplane I got a Sig Kadet Senorita. I am finding the directions vague for the ways of setting up the 'insides'. If anyone has some suggestions please let me know.

I built a Senior and would be glad to help. A guy had a Seniorita at our field with an OS 26 four stroke in the nose. He was getting 40 minute flights on a 4 oz tank. Looked like a lot of fun. Oh, also I would suggest using some sort of transparent covering (like transparent red or yellow). I think it's a shame to cover up all that pretty framework.

Hi,

I have a Senorita with O.S. 26 4-stroke. Just the greatest plane ever.

One revision I have on mine is that I have set it up with 4 servos. The rudder servo connects to channel 1 on the receiver. This is standard procedure. The modification is that I use the fourth servo to drive the nose wheel. This servo is hooked into the rudder channel on the receiver. The reason is that on a typical 4 channel plane, the ailerons (turning) are on channel 1 and the nose wheel steering is on the rudder channel.

The advantage is that when going to a 4 channel plane, you have lerned the steering during taxi-ing that is standard on that set-up.

If it's not too late, I would glue rails to the inside of each fuselage side before gluing the fuselage together. On top of these rails you can either glue a plywood plate for you servos or a pair of rails that the servos fit between.

It's easier to do this before gluing the fuselage together because you can more easily measure and get the rails parallel. I would use 1/4" x 1/2" hardwood of some sort with the 1/2" side glued to the fuselage.

Thanks Guys for all of your help. To be more specific as MinnFlyer asked I have to ask another question. What do is best to use for control rods and what is best to connect the control rods to the servos? One more question. Does anybody know where I can get a carburator for a Fox .35? I was originally going to use an Enya .19 but i think I will eventually need more (or want) more power.

Dan,

Let me suggest that you stick with the .19 on the Senorita. I am flying mine with an O.S. .26 4-stroke which is probably pretty close to a .19 2-stroke in power output.

This is a plane that you "fly on the wing", which means you really don't want to go up too much in power. On these if you try to speed up the plane you have the effect of a flat bottom wing that changes trim as you change speed.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I seen klumsy kids kadet fly, flys perfect.I have built the senior, so i cant really help you, but klumsy kid can, helped me out alot. So you can belive what he'll tell ya.
I had a .70 4 stroke on my kadet , to much, but mined weighed a TON anyways. i had a few mods, a laughing stock of a plane.Im also known for over powering my planes way to much, so dont belive me on what engine to put on a plane, but if you need help in any way, i mean any drop a PM or email, and ill try to help.
