Falcon HX-213

Hello am a absolute beginner

I have a Wing dragon but hard to learn yet...so I decided to buy a simple plane ,maybe a toy but for the money not bad at all

The Falcon HX-213 , I have a question or someone own this simple plane about the rudder from the high and directions I ned to cut in but which spot

There are 2 small carvings and 1 big on both rudder and high wings

Maybe someone can tell me how to adjust them

G'day Mate,
Don't waste your money on a plane like this, they steer with engine speed, no elevators or rudder, keep away from these cheap toys.
Go to a club, near you & ask about the type of planes they fly & how to learn to fly.
You can search for clubs on here at RCU.

This looks a lot like the Sky Zap:

A friend of mine has one, and it will not stay in the air. It breaks very easily, and is just a very frustrating way to try to enter this hobby.

From your post, it sounds like you have already bought it, so talking you out of it won't help you.

The carvings that you talk about are the "Rudder" and "Elevator" adjustments that you have to make on this plane in order to trim it out. The problem is, that you have to fly it first in order to figure out what kind of trim it needs. You should first make sure that the plane is balanced by holding your fingers under the wing at about 25% from the leading edge. If you can adjust the battery location to make it balance, that is best. If you have to add a little weight, do that.

Once you are balanced, take it to a BIG open field, with nothing to run into and nice soft grass to land on. Give it full throttle and toss it level into the wind. Do not try to make any turns until it has picked up a little speed, otherwise it will stall and crash. Once you see it flying, try to figure out if it is leaning one way or the other, you will use this information to trim your tail pieces, assuming the plane does not break on landing.

I am pretty sure the radio range is only about 100 yards, so don't let it get farther than that from you. My friend had his take off into the woods when he lost contact.

Good luck with it, and do not get frustrated and give up on the hobby if this plane doesn't fly well. I would be very surprised if it did.

toys are toys and RC airplanes are RC airplanes..sounds like you believe the marketing hype..if so I've got some ocean front land in Kansas that I'll sell you...

What the hell you mean? did u saw the Video from that TOY ok u call it a toy ,but I know modelflyers who break a 300 $ in 1 flight

Please don't swear

People who say that never crash or repair modelplanes are dreamers

Whats the problem to have fun with a TOY ,a real modelplane is also a TOY only with real servo but the idea is the same

RE: Falcon HX-213

There is nothing wrong with toys, as long as the expectations are in line with reality. I would tell anybody to buy an Airhogs Aero Ace, or a Havoc Heli, which are sold at toy stores. They fly relatively well, and are nearly indestructible.

The problem with this Falcon plane, and others like it, is that they may fly great for an expert flyer, or if they are perfectly setup, but once you break them, they are nearly impossible to straighten back out. They can be very frustrating for beginners.

On the other hand, there are low cost "hobby grade" planes, like the GWS Slow Stick, etc., which you can set up with radio gear that can be re-used in other airplanes, and they are easily repaired with tape or with very cheap replacement parts. The other problem with planes like this Falcon, is that the parts are either not offered or are very expensive. I started out with a Parkzone Aerobird Swift, and I swiftly spent more on replacement wings and other parts than I spent on the original plane.

I am not an equipment snob, and I support anybody who is flying anything, as long as they enjoy it. I just feel bad for folks who get duped into buying a high end "toy" airplane with the expectation that it is a good introduction to R/C flying. The frustration level with some of these things is just way too high and many give up.

As for the video, I don't doubt that it is possible to get this plane to fly like that. If it is perfectly trimmed and flown by an experienced pilot. The problem is, if you give it a toss and it isn't trimmed, it will break. If you give it too much throttle and stall it, it will crash and break. If you try to fly it in your yard and hit a tree, it will break. If it didn't fly well when it was brand new, how will it fly now that it has packing tape on it's wing?

What I really hope, is that you have great success with yours, and that you prove us all wrong.

RE: Falcon HX-213

What do you really mean by break the plane, I have a wing dragon that can be break also easy the prop cut out pieces from the wing ,because the wing fastening with elastic is very crappy

Do you mean if the wings from the Falcon ,I know its very hard foam I dont know which foam but its quite hard
Let say the wing breaks maybe still can glue them ,the same can happen with Epp wings then also need to use epoxy

I got a space like 2 time the size of a football field you think its enuff trees are all around but if I can get it at a good height then try to steer

I will just give it a try,I did get a another one for free the first one had a problem with the radio control the fedder was bad but i fix so I get a whole new one as a spare :)

So first need to throw it without motor on then it need to glide as far as possible in a slow decending arrow
Then adjust if its tail or head or that the direction rudder is straight ...then motors on and it shud go up

I just cant believe that this plane dont fly ,infact the design isn't that bad

If u compare this to twin x silverlit ,then this plane is a bargain for the money I suppose

Thanks for replied me
