looking for sig 1/6 scale piper plans

Hi,

About a year ago I was given and old sig cub 1/6th found in the garbage. I want to restore it but I dont have any of the blue prints. The greatest damage is its missing its rudder.

If anyone has anykind of blue prints and would like to share them with me so I can revive this old plane it would greatly be appreciated...

thanks in advance, joe

This kit is still in production. Sig Manufacturing will be able to get you a set of plans. Give them a call.

The plans for the plane are copyrighted to Sig. You'll need to call them and purchase a set of plans for it.

You can get the plans from Sig. They, along with Tower, also sell the full kit (standard and clipped wing (clipped is not carried through Tower any more)), and separate wing and fuselage kits also. I'd suggest getting another complete kit. That way you can build another one and repair the one you have. They are not the easiest planes to build (it can be a bit tedious with the number of small pieces of wood that have to be cut and fit), but most of the build is with stick and sheet - mainly the ribs, turtle deck and firewall are die-cut. If you need some pictures, I have one partially built - the wing panels and empennage. Once flying you'll realize it was worth all the trouble to build.

This design flies great on an OS .30 FP, so an equivalent 4-stroke should be great. The current OS .32 is more than enough power. Don’t put anything more than a .40 LA on it as even that is too much power for this 1950’s design.
