I'm totally hooked :)
Since I'm about 10 years old ( I'm 31 now ) I wanted to own an RC airplane but it was unafordable for me and seem quite complicated. This spring, I've start reading a lot here mainly in this section. I've learn quite a lot on motors set-up, radio, plane recommendation for a trainer and so many others things. I then start practicing on RFS G3.5 ( 1/2hr per day in the last 6 weeks ) and I was confortable. During this period, I got my first RC airplane !! :)) I had a deal on a new H9 Solo Sport with an OS 0.40FX that I could refuse and I add to this a Futaba 6 EX 2.4Ghz.
Today, I went to my friend's RC airplane field and I was ready for my first fly. I did the takeoff myself but with a huge amount of stress ;) Everything went fine and I had a tremendous amount of pleasure seeing my plane in the sky. It was soo nice. I left my friend doing a perfect landing and I was very happy. I'm really totally hook and I need to say thanks for all the good advice and recommendation we can read here. I'm going to do few more flight tomorrow :) Thanks everyone, Séb |

I did 4 flight of 15-20 minutes today. The first flight of the day was my second flight and I was able to land it perfectly for my first "full" solo fly ;) Then, I did a couple of touch and go in the second flight to reduce my stress on landing. My approach are now quite beautiful. I think all the merit goes to the practice on the simulator...what a great tool. And also the advice of my two friends. On the third fly we did a tandem my friend and I with his Nexstar. It was very nice to see both plane in the air. I've include two pictures. I really think it will be an expensive hobbie for me but we just have one life ;)
By the way, this plane ( H9 Solo Sports ) is really a charm to pilot. It float in the air and is very easy and gentle to respond to my input. For the price, that is a really good deal. |
