Possible?
Could I add floats to a MK II 40 Towwer Hobbies Trainer w a .40 super tigre engine?

RE: Possible?
I would go with the Super Tiger 45. Planes that Ive seen with a .40 on them seem pretty underpowered. All trainers.

RE: Possible?
Might be tough getting a 40 trainer up off the water with a .40. A .46? Different story.

RE: Possible?
My Tower 40 trainer has a GMS .46 on it. It flies ALOT better than with the .40 I used to have.

RE: Possible?
yea, why not get a cheap OS .46 la i think they are like 65 at tower hobbies, then you can either sell the 40, save it, or use it for another plane

RE: Possible?
Rather than get another "Cheap" engine, spend a few more bucks and get a Ball Bearing 46
The Evolution 46 or the Thunder Tiger 46 Pro can be had for around $80 |
RE: Possible?
If it is set up right, it should fly it, although slow. Forget the OS 46LA, the Super Tiger 40 will have more power. If you want to go with a better engine, go OS 46AX.

RE: Possible?
The ST 45 is comparable if not more powerful than the OS 46AX and cheaper too. I have both.

RE: Possible?
Ok thanks guys I think I may buy an OS 46AX or the ST 45. This was a question for future experimentation.

RE: Possible?
ditto, a good .46 would be good. You will have fun.

RE: Possible?
I had an Eagle II by Goldberg with floats and the os 40 abc FSR. no problem at all on the water. super tiger 40 well tuned and a well set up plane and floats keep it light and I mean LIGHT;):D you should be fine. but then I fly an os 46 on my trainer ( LT40) now:)
