dx7 binding

I have been trying to bind my dx7 with a failsafe setup for low throttle, slight up elevator.slight r/h rudder, but the only thing that activates when i turn the tx off is the low throttle setting the rudder and elevator servos dont move. What am i doing wrong.

RE: dx7 binding

They are not going to move. Fail safe leaves the surfaces the way the are and just drops to Idle. The surfaces lock in the last position if you are in a slight bank,, you stay there..

LATER

If you throttle is not going to idle you need to make sure you have the throtle set right and put it on Idle and rebind

You can only achieve this if you are using a AR9000 or JR R921 receiver. As powerlines said, for all the other types of Spectrum receivers you will only be able to programme the fail safe position of your throttle reciver and the all other surfaces will hold their last know position.

These two lines from page 18 of the manual seem to contradict.
• Maintains last-commanded control surface position in the event of RF link interruption.
Note: Fail-safe positions are stored via the stick and switch positions on the transmitter during
binding.

Do they seem that way to you??

RE: dx7 binding

Thats what i initially thought also another flier who has been useing the same system for quite a while also thought he could set control surfaces during the bind or for failsafe but we now know this only applies to the 9000 rx.I need a bit more experience i think, my learning curve is a vertical climb at the moment.
