E-Flite ultra stick 25e

Hello everybody I was looking around and I found this plane. I got hooked. I just love its design and performance but I am stuck in between the mini ultra sick and the regular ultra stick. If anyone has this plane I would love if anyone cold show me the size difference it would be awesome. Also what setup do you have in whichever one?

Thank you:D

You have a name wrong in the Poll. Both are not 25e's

The mini US would be a .049 size in a combustion engine

The US 25 E would be a .25 size if using a gas engine.

The 25e has significantly more potential as an electric or gas plane. It has better wind penetration and flies smoother.

The mini is a calm air plane.

well I might be confused but here is what I'm talking about and I'm not sure on size of engine in the mini

I can't comment on the .25 Ultra Stik but the Mini Ultra Stik flies quite well and is right at home at a normal glow flying field. The recommended park 450 outrunner flies it quite adequately but if you want insane verticle performance, go with the 480. It's a little on the fast side to be a "park flyer". I have flown it in 10-15 mph winds with no problems but I am not a beginner either.

This is the Mini. It says nothing about the 25e in the name

If you are going to use an engine to power a mini ultra stik, a .049 is way too small. This plane has a 42 inch wingspan. I would guess at least a .10 or better yet a .15. This plane was designed for electric power so you are going to be in for a lot of modifying and fuel proofing. Leave it electric and use a e-flite Park 480 brushless outrunner with 2100 mAh 3s lipo batterypack. You won't regret it.

i am not converting ethier of these to gas. i picked these because they was electric. the question is which one

Bigger is usually better, IMO (handles wind better, etc.), but it's also more expensive for the power system. I'd say get the mini if you want a park flyer, or get the 25e if you want an electric plane to fly at an RC airfield.

well that is were im stuck i want to be able to fly at the high school, ball park, ext. but im not sure is the 25e is small enuogh to fly. i dont want too small cause i also want a club flyer

The 25e is a little large and fast for a ball park unless you are very skilled.

It's not a park flyer. It is just electric.

by skilled how do you mean. this is a BIG ballpark. i think its corner is 280 and center 300, but i understand your consern. i dont want to be limited by sise and critized for uesing there space.

True, even the Mini Ultra Stik is kind of streching the limits of a park flyer. I fly one at a glow field and it has no problem flying the pattern along with the glow planes.

so which one for a somewhat park flyer? i want a big plane to fly at the field but in the limit fo a park flyer. i'm still leaning 25e over the mini. i dont want to drive 40+ minutes to fly for 5 minutes. i also want a reasonable 2 plane

You probably had better get accustomed to which ever one you are going to get by flying in a big field until you learn what it can do. Then move into a smaller field?
