does it matter?

does it matter which way you install the aileron servo? im putting together a sky raider mach 1 on my nexstar the model number or letters on the servo are facing towards the back of the wings or towards the flaps but the instructions appear on the sky raider to be pointing towards the front of the wings

It does not matter. You just want to make sure that the pushrods does not hit the servo in either direction. Keeping the pushrods as short as possible is always a good thing so I usually try to get my servo control horn as close to the flying surface as possible. Good Luck, Dave

If you still want to flip the servo make sure they gave you enough pushrod length before you mount it post forward. As Dave said: as a rule of thumb shorter is better (reduces weight & flex). Sometimes it is better to go long - like where a rod exits a hole/tube in a rigid bulkhead. Farther from the exit may prevent binding.
