scale and percentage

How do u calculate the % of a RC plane or the scale ? i have a Goldberg aniv. edition Piper J3 with a 76.5" wingspan and a 46 inch lenght what would that be thanks

You take the wingspan of the RC model divided by the wingspan of the full sized airplane. Then multiply by 100 to get % scale. The J-3 has a wingspan of 35' 2 " = 422 inches. 76.5 / 422 * 100 = 18% scale.
