Engine for Cessna?

I need some advice. I am currently putting together a Top Flight Cessna 182. First, they recommend for a 4 stroke .91 up to a 1.20. Is a 1.20 overkill or is that what I should use. Second, which brand do you suggest?

I think a 1.20 will be fine on it. I have seen one fly with a .91 and it seemed a bit sluggish, but it might have just been heavy. As for the brand of engine, I would pick Saito as my first choice. And OS as my second choice.

I tend to find that you want at least the largest the manufacturer suggests. Usually that is the right size, but for some I use more if I want to throw it around a bunch. If it calls for a .40 to .60, I go the .60. I am up a bit higher so I need the power. I also like too much power and can cut the throttle.

I tend to like saito as well. Os is good as a second. Both are good motors.

Look in the tower book, not a bad Price.

Did you fly tonight, Thursday? I got in 9 landings! I'm hooked. It helped watching you and Brian fly this morning. I did a loop and an aileron roll, not near as good as yours and Brians. I was not impressed at all with my plane. The loop wasn't too bad, but the aileron roll was slooooooow. But hay, I don't have to fix anything so I'm ready for this weekend. You guys need to try my grass/dirt runway, either I suck at take-offs or my runway is too ruff. I think I am better at landing than taking off.

BTW- I think it'll take a 6 pack to calm me down. I know this for sure: no "whoopee" before flying, my knees were shaking so bad that if I had gotten some I would have fallen down for sure!

I'm building the Pica Cessna and I plan on install a 120 4c, the Pica and Top flite come out very heavy.
