Best setup for E-starter by GWS
I have decided to purchase the E-starter as my next plane. I have decided to go brushless but do not want to spend an arm and a leg doing it. I have been looking at the motors from GWS (T13) and few others.
I am looking for suggestions on the whole setup. Motor, prop, battery and ESC. I would like the plane to have a little more zip than the stock 400 but I am not looking for 3D. I would like something a little quicker, can do some rolls, make 3 or 4 loops in a row and fly inverted. Thanks in advance for any help! |
RE: Best setup for E-starter by GWS
The E-Starter is an excellent plane. I used the GWS 2212 motor and it was a good combo with a 1060HD prop. You did not say if you were going 2cell or 3cell lipo.
If you are going 2cell then you can get the GWS 15amp ESC and batteries up to 1700mh should fit well. Performance is about the same as the 400 motor, but your weight will be less. If you want to go with a 3cell system then I suggest the 25amp or 35amp ESC. You can put a 9075 or 9050HD prop on for some speed or a 1060HD prop for some thrust. The difference in power with the 3cell is amazing. |
