I currently have a brushless esc wired up to a brushless motor but something just keeps beeping not sure what could this mean that the esc needs resetting if so how

Your transmitter throttle stick AND trim switch have to be all the way down to arm an esc.
You may also have to reverse the throttle channel if this does not work.

i bought the modle off of some one found some instructons on the net but they are not very good will try what has been suggested by down do you mean neutral

This may not be your situation, but if your talking about the beep when you put your battery in then this may be your problem: When you plug your battery in (or turn on the switch) you have to move your throttle stick all the way up and then all the way down and then the prop should spin when you go back up. This does not apply to all esc's and may not be your problem, just a suggestion.

Not nuetral, I am refering only to the throttle, it should be all the way to the low position, same thing with your throttle trim. This is a normal setting for electric airplanes.
