Kadet Sr mounting question

I finally finished my Kadet Sr except for reciever and battery placement. The instructions say to wrap with foam and stuff under where the servos are mounted and then later move battery for CG adjustment.

My question is, how to I attach the battery and reciever to the plane to keep them from moving around? There's tons of room in there, but nothing to attach them to. Only a balsa panel floor. Is there a good way to attach them to a balsa panel floor? There's no further intructions when it come to this.

I'm also using a reciever that has a satallite reciever (Spektrum AR7000).

This is my second arf. The first one was a Twist 150 that had a place to put this stuff.

Thanks for any help.

RE: Kadet Sr mounting question

Hey,

I know what you mean about the kadel sr. its a big plane with allot of space inside the fuse. There are a few things you can do.

For the receiver you can get double-sided tape from auto zone, the one that can hold up to like 10lbs or something and stick it behind the receiver and stick it to the side of the fuse.

You can also get Velcro and use that but it would be a good idea to use CA on the back of the Velcro because the sticky behind the Velcro isn’t that secure.

You can also get a strong piece of wood and epoxy it inside from one end of the fuse to the other and zip lock the battery and receiver to it, just make sure its strong and firm.

You can also put the battery under the servo's as they mention and then get 2 or 4 pieces of wood and CA the wood on both ends so the battery has really no where to go, just make sure the battery can not slide in between the wood pieces.

You can also use this thing called GOOP from autozone, wrap up the battery good and use goop. it will hold it forever and what’s good, goop comes off if you want it too.

If the CG is too back and you need the battery forward you can wrap up the battery good, with an extension from the receive to the battery you can stick the battery inside next to the Fuel tank and do the wood trick or use GOOP. Just make sure the goop dries well because if you get fuel on the goop it won’t stick.

You have a really good plane, I trained many people with it, they love it and I love it. When you get good it’s a very comfortable and relaxing plane to fly, you just sit back on a nice day and enjoy. Hope I helped.

Thanks NJAIRSTRIKE,

I thought of velcro but had no idea how to attach without screws. I didn't know about the tape or the goop. I've heard of double sided tape but not that holds ten pounds!

Looks like I need to go to the autoparts store to get my plane in the air.:)

Thanks again!
