BB Servos?
Hi all
I am pretty new to this and need a bit of advice. I am building a Top Flite P-47 .60 size (no... this will NOT be the plane I learn to fly with :) ) and need to plan for servos. Do I need to go for BB servos or will regular ones work OK? Throttle, ailerons (2), rudder, elevator, flaps (2) and retracts. Which type is best for which operation. The choices seem endless... Budget is a consideration. Any help will be much appreciated. Regards, John |
BB Servos?
The real advantage to BB servos is they won't get sloppy with play as fast as a Bushing servo, Had some bushing servos get real sloppy on my and they where not even that old, could wobbly the control horn and now I usually use Hitec 425BB servos, Good torque, Duel BB and about $15 each. Take a look at http://www.servocity.com/ServoCity/index.html They ship fast and have free shipping with good prices.

Standard servos will work in a 60 size plane, but if it's not going to break the bank, get something better.
If your retracts are the mechanical type, you'll need a special servo for them. I like the Futaba S-136G http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXH317&P=0 |
