I was just wondering what engine you run on it.

All suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks:D

The OS 55AX should be fine on this plane.

If you wanted to get crazy power, look at the tower .75 two stroke.. about 95 bucks and it is a killer engine.. I have one on an Ultra Stick .60, and it hauls that thing straight up like a homesick angel..

Even the tower .60 would be a good choice..

I have not heard much about the tower 60, but there are TONS of folks on here who have had great luck with the tower .75..

P.S. on second thought, it looks like that plane has a wt. of around 6 pounds which is what my Stick weighs.. So it wouldn't be "crazy" power, just a tad more than ya need.. Never a bad thing!

2 stroke 4 stroke? price range?

2 stroke
economy : tower 55
Mid range : os AX 55
high end : SJ .60L-H ({jett} AMAZING guys to deal with but get ready to spend BIG $$$$)

4 stroke
Economy : magnum 70
Mid range : saito .82
High end : ys .63 (never owned one but from what i herd its a beast)

These are my opinions only.

I have an Edge 540 46 size, started with a 72 Saito then moved To an 82, Neither one of them was ver impressive. I now have a .91 os 2 stroke on order should make the plane bark pretty good

for that plane, for it's 3d ability, you really need to step up and get a 4 stroke.

i had the same plane and put in a YS91AC swinging a 14/8 master airscrew! was a AWSOME flying plane! Would still have it,if it hadent been shot out of the sky by a fellow flyer turning on his radio on my same freq. :(

How do you want to fly it?

Scale:
OS .46AX
Evolution .46
Magnum .46

General sport:
Thunder Tiger Pro .46
Mangnum .52
OS .46AX or 55AX

3D:
OS .55ax
Saito .82

These engines are not listed in any particular preference order. Just a few I have had luck with in the past.

EDIT:// I just looked through some pictures of this plane and noticed it is set up with scale like control surfaces. 3D would be hard (not imposible) with those small ailerons. It is more of a scale or sport flyer.

I like the Magnum XLS .52A 2-stroke for this plane. One of the nice things about the Magnum is that Global offers a matching Pitts-style muffler for only $21.99. The combination would match very nicely with an Edge 540 .46 ARF.

I have that airplane with an Irvine 53 on it. Flys nice, only problem was the firewall gave it a bit of left thrust. I didn't notice until the first flight when it pulls to the left on an up-line. Very tame landings.
