guys
hey everyone. i have been flying for about 4 months now. i really enjoy it. i started in rc trucks and 3 weeks after that i bought a hobby zone super cub. i enjoy flying and i am want to get into 4-channel. i was curious as to what trainer would be the best. i want a foam trainer. i think foam would be good for my next plane due to the durability. i have looking into the hobbico j-3 piper and it seems to fit my needs. i really want the RTF pz t-28 trojan. do you think it is a little too much? thanks for the help.

RE: guys
If you have been flying your Super Cub for several months and you're comfortable and confident with it, then the Parkzone T-28 Trojan is a great next step for you. I'd say go for it!

RE: guys
Some people may disagree with me but if you're flying skills are good for the short time you've been at it (be honest with yourself), then the Parkzone T-28 may work as your next plane. Keep the throws on low rates and it is a very gentle, stable , easy flying plane. If you aren't ready for it you may have to buy an extra wing or tail piece here and there.
I bought the RTF since the LHS had it in stock. For me it was a waste of money since I installed a Spektrum receiver a couple weeks later, bought extra batteries and used my Accucycle Elite charger instead of the included one. If you don't have a 4-channel radio already though along with a charger, etc., the RTF is a great deal. |
RE: guys
the T-28 is a good plane, I got it as a second plane and learned aileron control with it. if you have a large place that your flying I'd also consider the hobbico electristar, it's not a foam plane, but it flies really good and is stable in the air. aside from that the T-28 can teach you all the controls and you'll still have fun with it once you've got it down.
