Anyone know where I can get a good price on some HiTec Servos. Looking for HS-645MG.

Heck, Irish, the hi-tec's are pretty 'inexpensive' as is. I usually just get them, when I need them, at my LHS. But, I usually use the Airtronics brand servo's.. had great luck with them and they suit my purposes.

Doesn't Horizon Hobby carry the Hitec brand?

Here's one I just found..

Now that I see what you are looking for.. high-torque.. the equal Airtronics is about another $25 or so more than this one.

g'morning CG- I have not tried Airtronics before. How are they compared to HiTec both in quality and price. I found some HiTec for 32.95 for the HS-645MG

Hi Irish.

Well, they probably compare as far as quality is concerned. I would think that the Airtronics is probably a bit better quality, however, I can't say for sure. It's a 'bigger name' product.. (formerly Sanyo) for sure. But the price difference is definitely there. I paid somewhere around $79.00 per servo when I bought their high-speed high-torque coreless servo a while back. Still have them, still use them, they are fine servos, but, not cheap, for sure.

I know several guys at the club that use the Hitec equipment and swear by them. The only ones I have are their micro servos used on electrics and have had no problems with them in that application.

I doubt you'll find a price lower than Tower Hobbies at $31.99 each or 3 for $91.97 before additional discounts. Let us know if you do, though.

That i can't answer, you can always e-mail them and inquire. I know when i buy stuff from tower i pay a
$5 canada post handling fee and the taxes.

Do a search on fleabay for 645 under remote control. There is a guy there selling them for $ 29.00 and change with free shipping. I use the 645 servos and I have them in a 29% bipeplane and I think they are great servos.
Hope this helps,
John

Never mind shipping to the states from Great Hobbies. Canada Post will charge too much for international postage and handling. It's cheaper to purchase in the USA and ship anywhere across the country.

Cirrus has been around a long time. I would bet a lot longer then HiTec.
