Wrong plug!
Hello everyone!
I recently bought a Firebird XL, my first rc airplane. I bought one with my freind who also bought a Firebird XL. We looked on the internet for a long time in search of the best deal. The cheapest price was in Hong Kong, £55 + £15 shipping (yes its a long way). Everything is fine except for one thing, the charger is designed for a Hong Kong plug socket, OPPS!!! Where would i get a adapter for this? Once i get one i can get in the air (after i work out the chinese instructions). |

Is that a Ragdoll in your avatar?
Looks like you've gone above and beyond your savings. Try the Horizon Hobby website: http://www.horizonhobby.com/ They sell direct; at least in the US - but then you need a UK adapter :-( I charge those packs (same as on my Fighterbird) on a Hobbico charger - same one I use for my Futaba equipment. Any six cell charger rated for that amperage would work. I also have one that runs of the lighter jack of my car. 12V negative ground. Is that standard in the UK? I understand the reason there are no RC transmitters made in England is because they haven't figured a way to get them to leak oil (just kidding). |

Thanks, i just saw a charger for the Firebird XL avalible at my local rc shop, its only £10 so i might get it, along with those elastic bands i seem to have lost.

The wall chargers take 3 hours to charge. If you get the car chargers they take 45 mintutes.

We have a ragdoll, too. Used to show him (#2 kitten in the Northeast US for TICA in '98). He hated it and we became pretty disenchanted with the cat-show politics. He loves to chew on the backing of Monokote, whether it is still on the Monokote or not. His partner is a Maine Coon cat who is fascinated with any human activity and wants to get involved, especially when i'm using epoxy or have dropped any object.
