Evolution 46 Stalls in turns.

I bought the hangar 9 T___T (Twist) ABOUT a week ago, this is not my first plane not even close but for some reason I can't get it to run correctly, it will idle fine, the pinch test is a little off, after pinching the fuel line the motor runs for a about 60 seconds, but if i try to lean it out, when i go to full throttle it sputters and dies, and if it doesnt die then it doesnt even come close to making full power. I have tried the nose up test but everything seems ok, one thing i noticed is that if i actually get if off the ground it will fly fine but in a hard turn the motor cuts out and stalls or comes close to it. can anyone help i have never had this much trouble with tuning.

It's too lean. If you are proficient in tuning a motor, then you need to look for other problems. Have you pressure tested your fuel tank? Try that as well as changing all your fuel lines (even the one inside the tank). You may have a small air leak somewhere.

JCB is right. I would suggest starting from scratch and reset both needles to the factory start point. Then work on the high end then to the idle. Repeat a couple times to get it peaked right. It's really easy to keep tweaking the idle until it good only to run into the troubles you are finding. I have a Magnum 91 four stoke that I got new and It started right and for the first tank run quite well. Then when I started trying to set it up for it's first flight, everything went into the trash. I couldn't get it to run high end, low end, only a very high idle and then it was about to shake off the plane. Numerous days of fighting with it and I finally set everyting back to the start point and it started and ran OK, Then the adjustments and it was awsome. I was about ready to use my 16oz Ball Peen on it before.

The interactions between the high and idle mix have to be well balanced. You can get the engine to run on top but not idle well or at all, or idle all day but the top end is awlfull. Once you get the balance it is like going out and getting in your car, just start it up and drive, or fly in our case.

Are you leaning out the LOW end?

The pinch test is done at low throttle. If it runs too long, you need to lean out the LOW end, not the regular needle valve (Which is the High end needle).

Yes, make sure you are adjusting the correct valve and do not adjust the low speed needle with the engine running.
