what needs adjusted
 
i put my evolution engine that was in my p 51 pts trainer in my hangar 9 ultra stick 40 im useing a dx7 radio and ds821 servos the plane runs fine but it wont shut off when i turn the throttle trim back there is a small gap in the carb throat when i turn it all the way back what am i not seeing here or better yet what kind of adjustments do i need to make the trouble seems to be more on the carb than in the linkage anywhere

Sounds like your throttle stop screw might be set to where it wont let the barrel close all the way.

Agreed, the stop screw should be the first thing to check.
You are saying if you disconnect the pushrod and move the throttle arm by hand it still wont close?

thats right when i unhook the throttle link and i close it there is still a ever so small gap when i adjust it what needs to be done?

Those screws often serve two purposes. They often hold the barrel in the carb body. That's certainly worthwhile. Sometimes they also limit the amount the throttle can close. Since we almost always have a servo to control our throttles, and we always need the capability to shut down our engines, it's almost completely worthless to have those screws actually stop the barrel movement. So don't worry a bit about turning the sucker out enough that your servo can now shut off the throttle.

But do make sure that the screw won't loosen up on it's own.

Adjust it so the throttle will definitely close completely and then make sure the lock nut is tight.
