RE: help with prop size
wow thank you i go get a 10by 6 then thank you for your help

RE: help with prop size
The model makes the final choice. The 11X5 will give you slower landings but the 10X6 more speed. The difference is like driving your car in second vs. third gear.

RE: help with prop size
I have a OS46 and just put on a 10X6 instead of the nexstar 11X5. I cant say Im that happy with the difference. I may try a 10X7. But the nexstar isnt setting any speed records so maybe im expecting to much.

You can put a saddle on a pig and it won't make it a race horse.

RE: help with prop size
The Nexstar is a fine aircraft. It's a trainer, not an aerobatic pattern plane. It does what it was intended to do and does it well. There are many other choices for trainers, all do the same thing, they help new student RC pilots to become trained RC pilots.
There are not to many students, new to RC aircraft that have enough experience to even begin to judge a trainer as to it's capabilities. Many write here in this forum asking questions about props, engines, radios, and so on, and get answers to their questions. In this case, the OP was asking about props on a non specific trainer. No one even mentioned Nexstar. Again, the Nexstar is a fine trainer as can be confirmed by many many posters here, both new and old.. students and instructors. Sure, there are some that don't like the Nexstar. Fine. I don't particularly like warbirds. But then, I don't fly them, either. I don't mind watching them, but I don't care to fly them. It's a personal thing. |
RE: help with prop size
Morning CG. I have a Nexstar that I enjoy flying now and then. It is relaxing and it is training my grandson. If you want one that is aerobatic, then get a aerobatic plane.
